Where AI may be used

Depending on the project, artificial-intelligence tools may help generate or develop:

• book illustrations, coloring-page artwork, covers, and visual concepts;
• draft descriptions, website copy, newsletters, and promotional content;
• design directions, layouts, titles, themes, or other creative starting points; and
• variations used during editing and refinement.

Human creative direction

AI is a tool in our process, not the final decision-maker. Pure Joy Books provides creative direction, selects and refines outputs, edits text and images, checks material for consistency and suitability, and decides what is published. We take responsibility for the final content bearing the Pure Joy Books name.

Fictional and illustrative material

Unless we clearly state otherwise, people, families, quotations, locations, and events shown in AI-assisted illustrations or stories are fictional or illustrative. Similarity to an actual person, place, or event is unintended and should not be understood as a factual claim, endorsement, or documentary record.

Quality and inclusion

We review content with the aim of supporting the Pure Joy Books values of warmth, belonging, representation, and shared creativity. AI systems can produce mistakes, inconsistencies, or bias, so we use human review and editing to improve the final work. Even with that care, no creative process is perfect, and we welcome thoughtful feedback by mail.

Ownership and permitted use

This notice does not grant permission to copy, distribute, resell, modify, or commercially reuse Pure Joy Books content. Rights in the final books, artwork, text, designs, branding, and website content are addressed in our Website Terms and applicable law.
